Outlook: Disable/Reset AutoComplete Email Addresses

Outlook remembers and stores the email addresses you type in the From, To, Cc, and Bcc boxes. When you begin entering a previously typed e-mail address, Outlook automatically recognizes it and completes the text for you.

How to Disable the AutoComplete feature:
1. In Outlook, click Tools -> Options
2. Under the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options
3. Click Advanced E-mail Options...
4. Un-check the box "Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc field"

How to Remove an email address from the AutoComplete cache:
1. In Outlook, compose a new email
2. Start typing the address which you want to remove
3. As you type in the address, use the Up/Down arrow keys to highlight the address in the AutoComplete list
4. Press the Delete key on keyboard to remove the highlighted address

How to Reset the Outlook nickname cache manually:
1. Close Outlook
2. Open Windows Explorer
3. Goto

C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\
4. Rename the files with .NK2 extension
5. Start Outlook and the name cache file will be re-generated
