Mac: Setup Windows Printer via SAMBA

Use SAMBA to connect your Mac to Windows printer.

1. Press Apple + Space
2. In spotlight, type in Printer
3. Select Printer Setup Utility
4. Click on the Add icon
5. Hold down the alt key, and click More Printers...
6. In the first drop down menu, select Advanced
Note: If you do not see the Advanced option, go back to step 5 and try again
7. Device: select Windows Printer via SAMBA
8. Device Name: type in your printer's name
9. Device URL syntax:
smb://username:password@server_name/printer_name smb://username:password@domain/server_name/printer_name smb://username:password@workgroup/server_name/printer_name
10. Printer Model: select your printer's model
