When launching pcsx2.exe (0.9.4), it returns a system error:
Cannot allocate mem addresses 15000000-55000000, err: 487 |
Solution:
This is caused by a compatibility issue with Kaspersky (7.0.1.321) Anti-Dialer library (adialhk.dll)
Note: Disabling Anti-Dialer alone will NOT solve the problem because the .dll file is still loaded into memory. You must either delete adialhk.dll, or remove its registry entry. |
To remove adialhk.dll registry entry:
1. Open Kaspersky Settings -> Privacy Control, and disable Anti-Dialer
2. Start -> Run
3. Type in regedit, and press ENTER
4. Goto:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\AppInit_DLLs |
5. Remove the path:
C:\Progra~1\KASPER~1\KASPER~1.0\adialhk.dll |
Extra Note: The LoadAppInit_DLLs registry key is for Windows Vista ONLY. Setting it to 0 will have no effect on Windows XP/2003 |
